This homeschool pod was created for families seeking a calmer, more personalized alternative to traditional schooling. With enrollment intentionally capped at 8 students, the pod is designed to offer structure, connection, and individualized academic support in a nurturing environment.

This homeschool pod operates on a full academic-year commitment. Enrollment is limited, and families are selected based on overall fit with the group and program philosophy. This is not a drop-in program, or short-term placement.

Monday–Thursday Daily Rhythm

8:00–8:20 – Arrival & Soft Start

8:20–9:15 – Literacy Block

9:15–10:05 – Math Block

10:05–10:25 – Snack Break

10:25–11:10 – Science or Social Studies

11:10–11:45 – Project Work / Enrichment

11:45–12:10 – Choice Work & Small Groups

12:10–12:30 – Reflection & Dismissal

Friday Flex Day

Fridays are intentionally designed as a flexible enrichment day that complements our core academic program. These days offer space for deeper exploration, hands-on learning, and real-world experiences.

Monthly Field Studies

Once per month, Fridays are reserved for an off-campus field study designed to connect learning to the real world. Field studies are guided, age-appropriate, and intentionally aligned with our academic themes. Participation is optional, and families are notified well in advance.

Field studies may include:

Nature preserves and outdoor learning spaces

Local museums and cultural centers

Marine and environmental science experiences

Community sites and local businesses

    Consistent routine & full-week structure

  • Enrollment Fee — $300 per student

    Due at registration.

    Covers:
    • Placement/assessment
    • Reservation of your child’s spot

    Annual Supply Fee — $350 per pod enrolled

    This fee covers all consumables, including:
    • Workbooks, journals & literacy materials
    • Art supplies & manipulatives
    • STEM project supplies
    • Science materials
    • Seasonal crafts
    • Themed unit materials
    • Printing & laminating
    • Classroom consumables

  • • Tuition is billed monthly (August–May)
    • Enrollment is a school-year commitment
    • Missed days are not refunded
    • A 30-day written notice is required for withdrawal
    • PEP scholarship families welcome

Coloring Geometric Shapes
  • We currently accept students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

  • Pods are capped at 8 students total, including my own children. This ensures a calm, focused learning environment.

  • Yes — enrollment is for August through May.
    We do not offer month-to-month or drop-in options.

  • Sandbar Schoolhouse has submitted all required documentation to become a Step Up Approved Provider for the 2025–2026 school year. Once finalized, families will be able to add Sandbar Schoolhouse in their EMA portal and apply PEP funds toward tuition and fees.

  • I use a mix of structured, research-based programs for literacy and math, combined with hands-on thematic units for enrichment. Curriculum is personalized to each group's needs.

  • A water bottle, snack, and comfortable clothing. All school supplies, workbooks, journals, art materials, and STEM tools are provided.

  • Children must stay home if they have:
    • Fever
    • Vomiting
    • Pink eye
    • Contagious illness
    • Any symptoms that may spread to others
     

    This keeps our small learning space healthy and consistent.

  • A 30-day written notice is required.

  • We focus on gentle guidance, clear expectations, and positive reinforcement.


    If a student repeatedly disrupts learning or creates unsafe situations, I will work collaboratively with families to find solutions.

  • Our classroom is held in a warehouse studio, so activities take place indoors. We incorporate movement, sensory activities, and hands-on exploration within the classroom environment.
